Geribello Engenharia was contracted by Department of the Environment of the State of Sao Paulo to manage and supervise civil works of the Project on Ecotourism in the Atlantic Forest, with the aim of improving the framework for public visitation in protected areas in the Ribeira Valley.

The project, which is funded by the IDB and counterpart of the Government of State of Sao Paulo, addresses the allocation of the SMA to encourage ecotourism and use of natural resources to ensure that future generations will be able to do it, too.

At this stage of the project, State Parks Jacupiranga, where the Devil´s Cave is located, and Alto Ribeira (Petar) were selected.  Interventions are being conducted in areas of environmental protection which will continue to receive frequent visits, requiring strict accuracy by Geribello´s team, in order to decrease the social and environmental impacts generated by the works .
